The Bx tradition must be maintained...because I want to be there again. Have fun, lads and ladettes. My annual leave is exhausted and a five year old is exhausting... I have few musical suggestions this year but if anyone has a copy of 'The Gloam…

I've never needed a sliding compound saw anyway...and I can afford neither a new Festool or a new car. I can however cut dovetails by hand...if required.

It's not going back up...down a bit more I'd say. Especially if the US puts up their interest rates soon.

I can categorically rule out my chances of attending this year as that's school holidays time...yes, the Little Bloke is at school these days...and we are (I'm advised) heading north west (rather than east) during that period. Enjoy!!

JohnR said: Wait... don't you already have all your CDs ripped? Kind of. They are ripped as WMA lossless...which kind of limits things. And it took months to do it way back in the day... As for ripping on itunes...our otherwise funct…

JohnR said: Streaming isn't the future, it's the present. Could you let us know when you decide what you actually want advice on? How much will you charge to rip approximately 1,300 CDs to an appropriate lossless format onto one or more a…

Twodogs said: Chnaged my mind, think I might look at a cheap BluRay player and a separate dac. Looking at the CA Dac Magic - any opinions ? Nothing much wrong with most CA stuff but I will also say that I have a Redgum Audio RGDAC5 tha…

I understood it...mostly. The bit over a hundred bucks statement raises some eyebrows though...given John in the past seems to always finish up with prototypes rather than having everything in a sparkly box!!!

We are with Origin on a casual feed-in deal...but these guys were almost worth our effort to switch last time I looked http://www.powershop.com.au/
