What saw did you get , Sean?

I did I did I did. Didn't I :-S I don't think I could live without DSP any more. I could use a pair of the plate amps in each of these speakers. The idea has been starting to appeal to me - avoid all those wires. I'll have to work it out but I d…

Yes! The acapella and poor man's strad http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/Acapella_WB.htm http://www.troelsgravesen.dk/PMS.htm Does the fascia need to be flat... it needs to be smooth. Is that what you mean?

Hi Nigel, did you measure them to compare to the old ones? Anyway get cracking on those subs

Well, while I'm at it, here's a "matching" center channel. Same midwoofers, similar mid, need to use an "autosound" tweeter to get the compact dimensions tho. Cost estimate: * Drivers: $292 * Plate amp: $275 * Passive: $50 * Wood: $35…

I expect 150 Hz will be practically omnidirectional in a cabinet this size. The way to find out it tho is to measure it, and if it really is too high then the crossover point is easy enough to move
-
Hi Graham, yep, DSP plate amp is two-way so there's a passive between the mid and the tweeter, and the DSP does the crossover between the mid-tweet and the sub. I'm guessing crossover around 150 Hz which will give the mid a bit more headroom than wh…
