  • Well done Seano, that's what I call back on yer bike. I wouldn't have gone near it for a year. Pic?
  • Minor note: I found this in Bunnings yesterday, it's going to make life much easier up there! 8m long, will basically span one end to the other, four outlets along the way. http://www.bunnings.com.au/arlec-4-outlet-power-extension-lead_p7052931 …

  • This is a bit of a temporary setup Put in the double layer over Gopi's study to see how it works out. It's polyester so easy to move around. Seano said: That has to be the cleanest roof space I've ever seen. Heh, now it is. The sho…

  • This is what I mean by a double layer. In retrospect, wider batts would be better. The wall needs sarking and also under the rafters but that's after I fix the other part of the roof.

  • OK I found it. The emittance of the anti-glare face is 0.1 for the metal roof sarking, and 0.8 for the tiled roof sarking. The metal roof one says it's "double-sided". The emittance of the reflective face in both cases is 0.03. I have metal tiles…

  • I'm confused as heck. There is one for tile roofs, and one for metal roofs, and nobody can tell me what the difference is! Any ideas?

  • Terry hasn't deigned to join us here - might have to email.
  • I'm thinking I will just encase myself in insulation. Cheaper.

  • I'm not arguing, I said can you use two layer instead of one. Seems you can, saw a video on it. So I'm going to try 1.5+2.5 in part of the ceiling and see if we can tell any difference.

  • Hey, time is running out but if I am able to get this together then I think I'll basically follow the approach here: http://www.hifizine.com/2014/09/mini-convertible-crossover/
  • In the ceiling, what happens if you use two layers of 90mm instead of one layer of 180mm? Seems like that would actually be better (no gaps)?
