• It is a NIDA 411, I will check that it still seems to work before you spend time coming over. I haven't powered it on for perhaps 10 years. TT is very nice

• I have used a light ground wire to a pc case screw before now. Onto the case of any earth grounded appliance should work (amp or pre are the usual suspects). The earth wire only into a 3 pin plug has been used.
