  • Pretty. Needs some knock-off electrical certification labels!!

  • It cost over $600- to get the power board approved :)

  • Nice benchtop. ;)

Who approved the cable? Serious question. :->

What did on first base :D

    Nothing has been approved :)

I would be very surprised if you could get a power board "approved" for $600 =D>

I suppose that depends on what "approved" means. :-??

    I said cost over

    :D

  • Just get it tested, to be safe.

The hardware that 'test & taggers' use is sufficient. :-b

It will test polarity, leakage, 500V flash test etc...

You know the case has to be double insulated & fitted with a RCD as well .
Still haven't finalised what to use for the case ?
    :)

What would be easier would be using a part/full metal chassis & ensuring all external metal components are earthed back to the GPO.

Dunno 'bout the RCD as an actual requirement...

    maybe try a 20A dual-pole RCBO!? eg

But your GPO & plug is only 20A!!!

If the RCBO doesn't trip until 32A, you will fry something else waiting for that to happen.

    GPO & plug 32A
    :)

I'm allowed tp weld in my lounge room
    :D

  • I bet Jill will have something to say about THAT!

Yes, now I remember, you have the unswitched 32A GPO :-b

    Who's your daddy!? :x

  • Power board cable & cables with the IEC sockets . At the moment I can't be bothed to change the iec sockets over to powercon sockets . I used the basic Furutech IEC plug .it has better screw terminals and cable strain relief over the Clipsal 465C . Connecging into the iec sockets the Furutech has a better fit & tighter grip of the pinsover the Clipsal . Using 100% sheilded power cables I hope the cables wont drift out over time with the Furutech . Both IEC plugs are rated @ 10A 240V .
Latter on I would prefer to change over the iec plugs to Powercon plug's .

Next make up the power boards . A mate is going to do a test & tag to make sure there safe .

    Cheers
