I'll send you the draft article G. However it's very mac centric.
Seano: finally got around to putting a music library on an external drive (SSD) and plugged into the RPi. (Via a powered hub.) Started indexing it straight away and took a few minutes. Not my preferred method of using it but it works fine.
Ta...sounds like it might fly as a standalone setup then...
I suspect that once the current CD player goes to God (which could take a while given it is a CA and only 5 years old) then it'll be replaced by a server based setup driven by a dedicated tablet
