Unless something doesn't work out in the next couple of days, I'll have this saw for sale. If anyone here is interested, let me know and I can hopefully work out a great price. No case or tracks - just the saw.
What good is the saw to me without the track?
Where do I buy a track.
Help me out with some info here John. :-??
quick too !! before you are gazing into each other's eyes ..... over a roaring fire ....(didn't need that old armchair anyway.)....
tbh, maybe I should wait until "I settle into to the new abode"
I suppose the track is a problem. I can't give you one cuz then I'd just have to buy a new one. They're frackin expensive. You'd think there might be cheaper tracks that would work but I don't know which. well, I dunno :)
OK, now I'm confused...
You have 2 saws!? & 1 track!?
Yeah. Well I have two tracks, an 800 and a 1400. Well, I suppose I could sell the 800 but you might find it a bit limiting. Actually I also have another old-style 800mm rail but it doesn't work with the kick-back stop (which is a rather good thing to have). Another option would be to get a Makita rail, apparently they work with the saws (but not the router guides) and are half the price.
Best place to buy off-brand blades seems to be Amazon. Freud are supposed to be pretty good.
Or this one:
These are the best track clamps:
You'd want this too:
I wonder if this fits... I'll ask
Actually I still have this. For local sale, I can put together a kit with rail and clamps. Already sold the case. Will put on eBay next week otherwise.
Sold on gumtree in less than a day....!
well done John
