Cinema Speakers
Went to Event Cinema Macquarie Park to watch Birdman. Repeatedly throughout the movie there is a close mic'd drum kit playing and I was super impressed at how good the sound was. Excellent, perhaps the deepest tones of the bass drum were slightly muddy/boomy, but for sure "boom is room" applies. I don't think I've noticed theatre speakers sound so good before.
As for the movie 7/10 - interesting and impactful at times, predictable and slow at other times
