Qobuz finds (and Spotify)
I'm enjoying find new stuff on Qobuz. Qobuz is CD-quality streaming. Also allows you to "import" for offline listening. Much better quality than Rdio, Pandora.
Thought maybe I'd post some things I find interesting. The linked pages has MP3 samples, but I'll also see if I can find a Spotify link to the whole album.

Vocalist and stand-up bass. Sparse and elementary, f... er, really rather brilliant. I prefer one this one to the other albums of theirs that I've tried. Earlier albums include things like Beatles covers which I'm... unsure about.

Again, solo vocal and one or two accompanying instruments. Strummed cello and mandolin, at this moment.

One of the things about having access to a stupefyingly large library is that you realize how much music you don't like. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. Anyway, it also gives you an opportunity to look up some past favorites, not heard in full since... oh well, since dumbarse gave away record collection nearly 20 years ago. This one was worth a revisit -

That one is a cracker...and she's still making music.
You gave away your records?!! I still have mine...and nothing functional to play them on...or a phono amp.
Yes. Big overseas move, brave new world, etc. Not worth spilling tears over though. Your comment made me remember a time I went to Stanmore or thereabouts to buy a Stanley Clark record from some bloke. I don't remember which one it was though.

Well, Qobuz charged my Paypal account so I guess my free trial is over!
I had a pretty good run early on with network speeds but not so much any more. Oddly enough, the drop in performance seemed to coincide exactly with my account getting a free upgrade to double the quota.... So I've started previewing albums in the web-based player, then downloading in the desktop player if I like what I hear.
Danish singer Agnes Obel. Sparser than her earlier album Philharmonics with less of the lush vocal overlays, but I think I like it better. Contemplative is the word that comes to mind.

Even if it sounds like pus, it's still a great photo.
LOL. C'mon just click on the link. Free samples! :-*
Another one from the archives. Just played the record, which I actually have now for some reason, but this way is a lot easier...
---- Delete, stupid record company doesn't let me have more than 30 seconds.
OK, going full circle, I've been listening to more and more from Musica Nuda. Can't help but love it, gli crazy Italiani.

I decided that I better make sure to download (and listen to) at least one album a day. This one was a bit "before my time." A little thin sounding but still good (speaking of remasters), and I'm back from suffragette city, it's all right! :-O

I played cornet in the brass band in high school. I didn't sound like this:

I'm not a Haydn fanatic. But I really like the interpretation of his cello concertos here by Jean-Guihen Queyras:
