Door jamb - western red cedar?
This would be the right material for making external door jamb?

I got the jamb from bunnings fitted, call it a learning experience. But it's very soft and it occurred to me that maybe it's not so good for an external door. We want to stain it not paint it.

Ended up with 140 x 35 F27 hardwood. We'll see!!
All our windows and door jambs at the house we just bought are all cedar .They all have rounded edge's .
