  • "working" or "paid internet browsing" like I'm doing atm
  • Sounds a little unstable Mal, might be time to fuse those 2 verts. I can do it for you cheap.
  • soldering a 25ohm resistor onto a terminal
  • ok - now to setting up the multi subs (2 only). There are some interesting articles which seem to deal mainly with home theatre multiple seats in an array. Since my system is fundamentally a 1 seat system, perhaps I don't need multi subs... Ther…
  • forget Tassie - if you want to live in the coldest place on earth....move to Canberra
  • Thank you Graham, I am satisfied that one of Stuart's xovers will be good. You may proceed.
  • Doubt if this has anything to do with missing SPL, but I would NOT be running all my signal into a subwoofer's crossover. It could be good quality crossover, but it could smell like the one you dropped in my car when you were up here.
  • thanks John, I intend to redrill and screw the drivers when I've finished measuring and "tuning" them. Today I fired them up and am very pleased, they sound great. One is placed in a corner and the other offcentre on an opposing wall.
  • well just learned something - T-nuts area pain in the arse. Trying to get the bolt to engage with them requires accurate drilling in the 1st place. Since I did all my drilling by hand and not using a bench drill, some the holes are not vertical and …
  • I use the cab merlot to stain my shirt front 60s style - let the sunshine, let the sunshine in, the sunshine in.....
  • spent 6hrs last night gluing screwing rasping sanding priming. A box of cab merlot for company was fairly wobbly by the time I went to bed. another few hrs needed before boom boom. Looks like I won't be having a gtg afterall thanks to Graeme givin…
  • Yes basketball. I'm getting mighty close to finishing my subs. Should make some boom sounds after about 3hrs more . I'm going for a crazed piano gloss finish. Initially it won't be crazed, but I suspect after a few months it will be. Once they…
  • I glue and nail lengths of quadrant along the 90o joins so that if the sub is dropped from the deck outside, it will survive the impact. The important thing is that the waratahs beat the crusaders which will encourage the wallabies for the upcomin…
  • MDf is all cut - Tnuts in place - need to source some M5 bolts 25-30mm long then a bit of drilling, screwing, gluing and nailing and I should have some woom, woom ,woom
  • the pub I go to watch rugby has the delay problem between the big screen/projector and the audio from ceiling speakers. If you look at any of the tv screens they are in-sync. There must be better projectors/systems with less lag.

  • Doh !!
  • Thanks John, that was it, I could vary the weight up and down and watch the squiggly lines move. Like the look of 512gms. I wonder if that weight causes the PR to sag offcentre ? might have to rotate the PRs every few months.
